Heather Leppan, known as the “rose lady” of the Karoo, inspired the planting of many old-fashioned roses in gardens and public parks under her guidance.
This hardy variety is exceptionally tough, thriving in the harsh weather conditions of the Karoo while also performing well in a wide range of other climates. It produces large, soft salmon-pink double blooms with many firm petals that open into a classic quartered form.
The flowers are long-lasting both on the bush and when cut for the vase, making them highly suitable for garden display and floral arrangements.
