The spirit of the rose, much like that of a well-bred horse, is noble, strong, and a true companion to humankind. The striking pink bloom is carried on tall, proud stems that easily reach shoulder to head height.
With this ‘Pink Polo’ rose, the intention is to bring colour, hope, and a sense of healing to those who grow it, serving the greater good—especially women facing the challenges of breast cancer.
The impressive blooms begin in a classic hybrid tea form before slowly opening into large, plate-sized flowers with a beautifully quartered, four-centred structure. The transformation is gradual and captivating as the bloom fully unfolds.
Large, matte-green leaves give the plant strength and presence, complementing its delicate rose fragrance with subtle hints of fresh greenery and earthy undertones.
‘Pink Polo’ is well suited as a specimen plant or for mass planting and is generous in producing long stems for cutting. It was officially launched at the Pink Polo Event in 2019, with proceeds supporting CANSA Paarl on behalf of Val de Vie Events by Ludwig’s Roses.
