A cluster of well-formed miniature buds opens into dense sprays of bright red blooms, each flower prominently revealing its golden stamens.
The plant has a naturally arching growth habit, which can be used to great effect by training the stronger basal stems onto a support of around 2.5 m in height. This allows the continuously produced flowering side shoots to cascade and decorate pillars, arches, or similar structures, creating a striking vertical display.
