Now the iconic Pink Lady, who has captivated visitors to Cape Town since 1899, has her own namesake rose. This floribunda is set to grace the hotel’s historic gardens with elegance and charm.
It produces an abundance of small, perfectly formed, semi-open buds. As the firm petals unfold, a striking pink emerges, flowing in from the edges and softening toward a pale, almost white centre. As the blooms open further, they develop into a lively, vibrant pink that beautifully complements the hotel’s signature colour.
This free-flowering, eco-friendly variety grows into a rounded, densely branched shrub reaching about hip height. It is well suited to mass planting in beds or borders, and also performs beautifully in containers, where it creates a striking and joyful display throughout the flowering season.
