‘Nona’ was created in honour of a loving mother and inspirational businesswoman by her devoted family. This rose forms a strong bridge between floribunda and hybrid tea types, combining free flowering abundance with well-formed individual blooms.
Its generous flowering habit is expressed through long-lasting, single blooms carried on straight, strong, well-balanced stems. From medium-sized, shapely buds, layers of firm petals open into attractive rosette-shaped flowers. The thick petals help the blooms retain a fresh, tidy appearance for an extended period, making them excellent for cutting and home arrangements, where they also release a pleasant fragrance.
The plant is vigorous yet well structured, forming a neat bush between hip and chest height. It is clothed in medium-green, tough foliage and maintains a healthy appearance throughout the season.
Like ‘Iceberg’, it has inherited the valuable ability to reshoot from older woody stems, ensuring continued growth and flowering over time.
