💡 Planting Tip: Plant Hydrangea paniculata ‘Magical Candle’ in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost. Apply mulch around the roots to help retain moisture and keep the soil cool. In Cape Town, a position receiving morning sunlight and afternoon shade is particularly beneficial during hot summer weather. Prune in late winter before new growth begins, as this variety flowers on new-season growth. When planting from a 15 cm pot, allow sufficient space for the shrub to reach its mature size.
